No matter what time of year you cruise to Canada and New England, you’ll be met with a landscape that is filled with vibrant, jeweled-toned hues as far as the eye can see.
In summer, it’s the gorgeous emerald tones that delight the eye, and as the seasons change the leaves slowly move to shades of amber and ruby. But it’s not only the flora that makes the scenery beautiful. The charming architecture, white-washed lighthouses, glittering cityscapes and delightful fishing villages all boast their own rainbow-filled scenery.
Facebook fans sent in their favorite snapshots from their Canada and New England cruises. If you want to see the scenery in person, Maasdam and Veendam begin their season in the region this month. Come onboard and see the beauty for yourself.
The above photos are from my trip on the Maasdam in June 2012 – quite possibly my favorite cruise destination in 27 cruises! — Mariner Susan Ludwig
