Holland America Line believes that good things come in threes, and when Ryndam joins the fleet in 2021 it will be the third Pinnacle class ship in the fleet. Guests who are eager to come aboard can start making plans, with bookings opening today for the ship’s Premiere Season that begins in May 2021 — just in time to spend the summer in Northern Europe.
Ryndam is under construction at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard in Italy, and when it debuts it will remain in Europe. Ryndam’s Premiere Voyage will depart Trieste (Venice), Italy, May 15, 2021, on a seven-day Mediterranean cruise to Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy, that calls at Dubrovnik, Croatia; Kotor, Montenegro, Kerkira, Corfu, Greece; and Taormina and Naples, Italy.
Immediately following the Premiere Voyage, the ship will sail a 10-day cruise to Amsterdam to begin a Europe 2021 season in Northern Europe on seven- and 14-day itineraries roundtrip from Amsterdam.
The cruises to Norway will visit the most stunning fjords in the country, including Geirangerfjord, Hardangerfjord, Olsofjord and Sognefjord. When not in Norway, Ryndam will cruise the Baltic, British Isles and Iceland.
The June 1 departure explores the Baltic ports of Kiel (Hamburg), Germany; Tallinn, Estonia; an overnight at St. Petersburg, Russia; Helsinki, Finland; Nynashamn (Stockholm), Sweden; and Copenhagen, Denmark. A similar departure Sept. 26 adds the ports of Warnemunde, Germany, and Arhus, Denmark.
Itineraries throughout Norway visit a combination of ports including Molde, Geirangerfjord, Bergen, Stavanger, Oslo, Kristiansand, Eidfjord, Skjolden, Ulvik, Haugesund, Alesund, and Flam with extensive scenic cruising in the country’s fjords.
Ryndam also will feature cruises to Iceland and the British Isles for a memorable Northern Europe exploration. The July 18 and Aug. 29 departures are a 14-day adventure that calls at Bergen and Alesund, Norway; Akureyri, Isafjordur and Reykjavik, Iceland, with an overnight visit at Reykjavik; Lerwick, Shetland Islands; Invergordon (Inverness) and South Queensferry (Edinburgh), Scotland.
At the end of the season, Ryndam offers a transatlantic crossing from Amsterdam to Fort Lauderdale, Florida; with stops at Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium; Le Havre (Paris) and Brest, France; Portland (Weymouth), England; and Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal; before the ship spends six leisurely days crossing the ocean when it becomes the destination.
Launching in May 2021, Ryndam will join sister-ships Koningsdam and Nieuw Statendam to complete the trio of Pinnacle-class ships. As the fourth ship in the fleet to bear the name Ryndam, it will feature state-of-the-art amenities and innovations, while also carrying forward the beloved nautical heritage and superb craftsmanship that have become hallmarks of cruising with Holland America Line.
Ryndam fills each journey with a rhythm all its own. At the heart of it all is Music Walk, an exclusive collection of four live music venues featuring world-class performances from accomplished musicians, from the best of Memphis blues to rock n’ roll’s greatest hits. The ship hits all the right notes: exquisite dining experiences, enhanced staterooms and suites, and the finest service at sea that reflects 150 years of seafaring expertise.
