HAL Mariners Dine in Style on Amsterdam

Last week Amsterdam was the place to be as the fifth annual Mariner Days celebration took place during the 114-day Grand World Voyage. Each year President and CEO Stein Kruse and his wife Linda join the Grand World Voyage for a few days to thank and recognize the line’s top Mariners. During the Top Mariners Luncheon, Kruse, his wife Linda and other staff hosted 10 tables of the select group of mariners. The group gathered in the Crow’s Nest to enjoy the gorgeous sea views and a special menu that featured Wild Mushroom Ravioli, Pan-Roasted Filet or Petit Filet Mignon and a Caramelized Apple Tarte Tatin.

For the first time in the history of these events, there were so many of these 500+ Mariners on board that two special recognition luncheons were held. Sea days for all of the Mariners total 83,908, which equates to more than 230 collective years of cruising with HAL.
