Amsterdam Celebrates Indonesian Culture and Crew

Recently the Amsterdam visited three Indonesian ports. The ship visited Tanjung Priuk, Jakarta, on November 1, Semarang on November 2, and Tanah Ampo, Bali, on November 4. During these port calls, many family members of the crew visited the ship and all of them enjoyed it so much. Also on board we held an Indonesian-themed dinner and Indonesian High tea on November 3, on the way to Bali.

All stewards, assistants and even the guests wore a traditional Batik from Indonesia, including my two sons Arya and Ardy that sailed with me dressed. They dressed up in Balinese attire to welcome guests at the entrance with our President Club member Ms. Dolly Smith. The dining room was decorated in Indonesian decorations with Balinese Garuda statues, prade table runners, chair covers with red sash and Balinese umbrellas as well as large Balinese fans. Enjoy the photos!
