Hello All! I was really excited to share this one with you … the crew had a blast, even though it was -3 C!! HAL crew have unique opportunities to see parts of the world that are present on most people’s “bucket lists”. Over 200 Zaandam crew members got to check a few wish list items off their own lists after our most recent voyage, as they took part in crew tours to places like the Great Wall and the Forbidden City in China. Some even came back with t-shirts boasting “I climbed the Great Wall” which they proudly wore once they got back on board.

I sailed on The Zaandam before Xmas – and met Anthony and to say thanks to a wonderful group of people – and gave him a copy of a painting I did of the ship – under Sydney harbour Bridge – supposedly for the crew bar.
