We’re in the middle of Antarctica right now and it’s incredible. It’s really hard to imagine before you get here. The scale of things is just huge, the mountains are very tall and essentially you are looking at huge amounts of snow and ice. It’s almost like looking at one continuous Glacier all along the shoreline.
We’ve seen whales, several types of seals, numerous types of birds and then, of course we’ve seen penguins. The icebergs are perhaps the most interesting. They can be huge, bigger than the ship, and they evolve into many unique and beautiful shapes. We’re attaching a few pictures. It’s just spectacular!
Also on the way down from Valparaiso, Chile, we got a great look at seals lounging on a rock that had a lighthouse on it. Just loved the shot!
