Westmark Chefs Participate in the Epicurious Gourmet Food Festival

Mary Ann Ferguson, regional sales manager for Westmark Hotels, Yukon, sent us this post about the Epicurious Gourmet Food Festival.

Executive Chef Michael Panchenko, along with Kevin Frisch and Steve Austin from the Steele Street Restaurant in the Westmark Whitehorse Hotel & Conference Center, participated in the Epicurious Gourmet Food Festival in Whitehorse, Yukon last week. The Food Festival was a fundraiser for the Whitehorse Hospital Foundation. The event featured guest celebrity chef Massimo Capra of Food Network Canada. Chef Panchenko and his staff prepared two appetizers: bison wontons with roasted pepper aioli and double smoked Arctic char mousse on crostinis with fondue onion and lemon pearls. They were a big hit with the crowd of 450 people.
