On our last call to Ketchikan this season, a donation was made to the local animal shelter. Safety, Environmental and Health Officer Martijn, 1st Officer Harry Hobma and I visited the shelter to deliver the donation. In total, the crew donated $150 to the shelter to help with the cost of taking care of the animals until they are adopted. While at the shelter, we spent some time playing with the animals that are currently up for adoption.
