Some very old photos of Statendam! This area is now netted in and has a basketball court. After speaking with a colleague this was the former jogging track… only S Class ship to have one. This is also pre-SOE of 2005 which added on to the Greenhouse Spa directly above the bridge.

Aug.!964 I took the Statendam from Rotterdam to New York. I was an immigrant from Germany.
It was a wild ride but I will never forget it. The crew was wonderful and caring.
The food must have been great too because the people who ate said so. Since I was seasick most of the time I was not able to taste it. 🙂
