This amazing photo was taken by Oosterdam’s IC Manager Zeljka Hajdarevic in Juneau, Alaska. She won the award for “Best Photograph” for the month of September as part of a fleet-wide contest for ship photographers. Each month, on-board photographers submit snapshots from port calls around the world with the hopes of being rewarded with this coveted distinction, a plaque and monetary prize.
Since its inception, the contest has led to great photos from all over the world and a stockpile of breathtaking images for the line’s photo gallery.

Wow, what an incredible shot. The whale is almost entirely aireborne and the detail is fantastic.
