On December 1, Oosterdam called at Auckland, New Zealand. Close to Auckland is the winery of Villa Maria. As Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc is featured on the wine list on board, Cellar Master Phillipe Reigh took this opportunity to visit the winery with his team of wine attendants as an educational experience. After having seen where the grapes are grown and the production process of the wine, there was, of course, the opportunity to taste some of the wines produced by Villa Maria in addition to the Sauvignon Blanc. In the end, the trip was an educational and motivating experience for the team and it will definitely benefit Oosterdam.
