The Volendam made a donation of clothing, shoes and other items, including a guitar to the Komodo Village in Indonesia on December 5th.

It was quite an adventure to get the items there. We first loaded them onto our tender and then transferred them to local boats on the pier. The local boats then took us and the donations around the island to the village.

We donated the boxes to the village and gave them directly to the village chief. We then walked over to the school to donate the guitar. We took a short tour of the village as well. It was quite an eye-opening and rewarding experience for all of us.
