Video: Melbourne to Sydney
Noel Bell, HAL guest and frequent blog contributor, sailed on a 34-day Volendam voyage from Sydney to Hong Kong late last year and shared with us this video from his trip.
Come along with us and cruise the Tasman Sea and Bass Strait, from Melbourne to Sydney, via Burnie and Hobart in Tasmania on this six-day portion of our trip to Hong Kong. Spectacular dawn sailing into Sydney Harbour! — Noel Bell

Soundtrack was beautiful. Is that from a movie? If so, which one?
Now I get a chance to thanks you for a job well done. Sorry we didn’t get to meet you on the cruise. I have thoroughly enjoyed your other cruising videos. Loved your video clip on Hobart since we had visited the same sites on our first day there. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos on the rest of your cruise.
Maybe our paths will cross again on another HAL ship.
Hi Bob,
The soundtrack on this video was from my collection of travel CD’s used in my production work. I feel that the music, which often takes a long time to select the best, makes the video.
If you look at the SE Asia video we recently sailed, some of the music represents the country visited.

Great to hear from you Sharon & so sorry we missed you. We are looking at the Oosterdam in April to Seattle from Sydney, so watch out for that video. Yes Hobart is my hometown so it was very special to sail into Tassie. Regards Noel
Wow…… Thank you for such a great video! You have inspired me to do better on my next cruise and take longer video’s. Always wondered what Sydney looked like. Now I know to some extent.
