Veendam’s Bathrooms Get a Makeover
Project Manager Hans Dörr sent us these photos of Veendam’s bathrooms and explained the refurbishing process.
The whole process starts with a cabin taken out of service (left) and then there is the demolition process (right) that includes the removal and storage of all the accessories and plumbing features.
The next step is to remove all of the high tiles, which sometimes results in steel repairs on the wall or floor.
After that the low areas are filled with a filling compound and sanded before the tiling is started.
The next step is the tiling (left) followed by grouting the next day. The day after that the vanity is placed as well as all of the the accessories (right).
This is followed by replacing the plumbing fixtures and testing the systems before final approval of the cabins by the Holland America Line cabin inspectors.
Looks great. What amazes me is how much work is done in such a short time.
Thanks for the photos.
