Tatoosh Islands Sea Kayaking Tour in Ketchikan, Alaska

Special thanks to Rachel Moodie, HAL Internal Communications & Public Relations Manager, for sending in this post and great photos.

Another excellent and adventurous excursion was the Tatoosh Islands Sea Kayaking Tour in Ketchikan. Tatoosh means “protected”, so appropriately, the waters were very calm. Again, the tour description was accurate. We took an exhilarating ride to the islands and then paddled for two hours. Along the way we saw bald eagles, a baby eagle, starfish, jellyfish and more.

Tour guide “KT” prepares our kayaks. We had a small group so it felt like we had the islands all to ourselves.

Bad photo of a bald eagle. It really wasn’t that dark out!
