This is the first of three big events of the day. The presentation started off with mini birthday cupcakes and an introduction from Captain Schoonderbeek, followed by our cast doing the jive.

Our Indonesian crew sang “Happy Birthday” in Bahasa as a very impressive birthday cake (yes, those are 140 electric candles) was paraded into the Showroom at Sea. The Captain assisted our only 2 guests celebrating their birthday today with cutting the cake.

Later today Captain Schoonderbeek will be holding his ever-popular and always well attended Holland America Line history presentation. Then, the day will be closed with a big ball. Our theme is a nostalgic bon voyage party and our guests will dance through the decades to big band music.
