On October 24th, Prinsendam’s ‘World’s Largest Cruise Sale’ event began with music by the Prinsendam Orchestra, and waiters and crew members dressed in costume for an afternoon filled with delicacies, mimosas, coffee and tea. My presentation “What It’s All About” explained the details of the sale, benefits of booking onboard and CLIA’s support of the cruise industry. Prize drawings were held and delivered by our special “pony express,” as the Showroom at Sea had a full house. Battle of the Sexes Photo Trivia was won by the men who were able to identify more of our special photo cruise destinations. Later, Cruise Director Carlos, along with Prinsendam entertainers R.B. and Elisa, sang while our dancers performed to the destination songs of Brazil, Waltzing Matilda, Slow Boat to China, Balihi and more, while I enticed guests with cruises to each destination. Finally, the grand prize, a nautical chart of the cruise itinerary from the ship’s bridge, was awarded.
