Postcards from the Dominican Republic
We visited a port in the Caribbean that we have not visited before. We have never been to the Dominican Republic and were very anxious to see what we had heard was a beautiful area. We had not been misled.
It was very beautiful and we really had a good time. Since we had to anchor, we volunteered to help the shore excursion department with their tendering and then we signed up for one of their tours. It was a boat ride with a shrimp feed at one of the beach areas. So come along and see what we saw.
Shirley was our team leader.
The scenery was beautiful; it reminded us of Samoa.
We arrive at our destination — a beautiful beach area.
Drums and dancers welcomed us.
It was beautiful everywhere you looked.
We could see our home, Eurodam, from the hill.
We all went into the shelter for our “shrimp fry” lunch.
The vultures are circling. Time to head home.
Arky and Shirley are future cruise consultants aboard Eurodam.
