Professional artist Piet Noest cruised Norway on Prinsendam in June 2012 and shared with us some of the studies he completed on the ship. Piet used these studies to complete his ultimate project, a diptych of the Lofoten Islands.

The studies for the ‘Lofoten Diptych’ were done from the verandah of my cabin on Prinsendam, where I used to spend most of the day when we were at sea cruising the coast of Norway. I have also completed “Serial Digital Images” which will be shown on monitors at my retrospective exhibition in the Redcliffe City Art Gallery from July 25 to August 25, 2013. — Piet Noest, Australia
