New Stop at Talkeetna & Base Camp Highlight 2016 Alaska Land+Sea Journeys

The incredible Alaska landscape is one of the few places in the world that is best seen by combining a cruise with an overland adventure, and Holland America Line’s signature Land+Sea Journeys offer guests more ways to see this remote and off-the-beaten path part of the world. The 13 Land+Sea Journeys options range from 10 to 20 days and are in two distinct series with cruise-first or land-first choices: Yukon and Denali Land+Sea Journeys and Denali Land+Sea Journeys.

New highlights for the 2016 season include a maiden visit to Talkeetna, Alaska, on the Double Denali and Alyeska Journey, allowing more time to view the majestic Denali mountain; ms Nieuw Amsterdam moves to the Inside Passage itinerary and ms Noordam moves to the Glacier Discovery itinerary, making more verandah and suite staterooms available for Land+Sea Journeys guests; and the Base Camp complex at the company’s McKinley Chalet Resort near the entrance to Denali National Park will be ready to welcome visitors, serving as a new gathering area to relax, shop, dine and enjoy music and entertainment.

Holland America Line’s McKinley Chalet, a magnificent 68-acre hotel property on the Nenana River, offers Land+Sea Journeys guests their own elegant wilderness retreat featuring seamless hospitality and sustainable Alaskan cuisine. The hotel serves as the ideal base for all adventures at Denali National Park such as flightseeing, ATV adventures, hiking trails, river rafting and more.

The new Base Camp complex at McKinley Chalet Resort will be ready for the 2016 Alaska cruise season.
