Know Before We Go

Know Before We Go

Nieuw Amsterdam crew members are being given the opportunity to do a “know before we go” tour of the ship’s public areas. Each crew member is given a crew pocket map of all the guests’ public spaces which is an aid to help them understand and provide our guests with information about the various locations throughout the ships.

In addition to the newly created pocket map, each crew member is also given a “know before we go” cheat sheet with basic information including features, capacity, locations and prices.

The “know before we go” is a concept for Nieuw Amsterdam developed by Training and Development Director Brian Johnson. He wanted to ensure all crew members are fully equipped to answer guests’ questions and provide them with that “once in a life time experience” prior to the July 4 inaugural sailing.
