Favorite Photos Throughout Europe
As “Europe Week” continues, we share guest Patricia’s post highlighting her favorite ports during her Eurodam vacation. She loved Tallinn and Helsinki. We also asked Facebook fans to share photos of their favorite ports, and we got a fabulous variety! What are your favorite port? Let us know in the comments below!
I just completed my Gems of the Baltic Cruise aboard the Eurodam. I had a great time. We had terrific weather – the only rain was a thunderstorm when leaving Stockholm. My two favorite cities were Tallinn, Estonia, and Helsinki, Finland (due to the terrific tours). I was extremely surprised at how friendly the Estonians are – given their long history of being invaded. The photo is of an original gate from the wall around Tallinn.
The Open Air Museum was a treat (folk dancing and a typical snack of Cumin tea and Barley Bread!). In Helsinki, I did the Country Home Visit. Harriet, the hostess, was very friendly, gave tours of the house, and liked to chat. The house and property are gorgeous, the dog and grandkids were around to play with and talk to, and the snack was great (best vanilla ice cream I ever had anywhere). The photo below is of Holy Lake. You’ll have fun on the cruise! — Patricia
