A day at sea on board Zaandam on the Mexican Riviera cruise.
In the blogs from this cruise I will focus my pictures a lot on those who are responsible for Holland America Line’s signature of excellence : The staff. I will try to include their names.
A day at sea means relaxing and enjoying all the facilities on board m/s Zaandam.
The front office as always busy in answering questions from guests.
A tradition on Holland America Line ships is the Royal Dutch High Tea.
Lido Deck waiter Firman.
This morning at our table on Lido deck we met waiter Firman. He was writing down our names on a little notebook and tried to pronounce them and remember them. Firman told us that he was from Jakarta and that this was his first contract with Holland America Line.
Keep on doing this good job Firman, we love it when you know our names next time.
This night was formal night, we booked ourselves for the Pinnacle Grill our favorite dining place on Holland America line ships.
Our table waitresses were Dian and Rose, for us a new experience having only women serving the dishes in The Pinnacle. Ladies, you did well, and the chat we had about your Indonesia was appreciated.
Let us hope that master chef Rudi will never move the lobster from the pinnacle menu, because it’s our favorite dish.
At the end of our dinner we were able to meet the chef of the Zaandam Pinnacle Grill. From France: Monsieur Olivier François Tonje-Tonje. We gave him in person the compliments for what he had made.
A picture of the Pinnacle Grill manager.
Thanks to all of you we had a wonderful night, and for anybody reading this blog, do not forget on any Holland America cruise to have a night in the Pinnacle. You will not regret it.
Sundown from our stateroom window.
We are bound for Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
