Cruise Diary: Favorites of a 3-Star Mariner

Dutch TV host and adventure seeker Charlotte van Hoorn is on board Noordam for a Caribbean cruise and she’ll be sending in posts during her voyage.

Favorite Excursion: Aqua Trax Adventure – Half Moon Cay

How great is this? Castaway on HAL’s private island with nothing but the burden of deciding – swimming on horseback or swimming out to the snorkel floats? So, better idea was to try something from the bucket list – ride a jet ski!

Been scared to try. Is it too fast, too tippy and am I too past my prime? Happy to report that anyone out of shape can really enjoy themselves safely. So go for it, if you haven’t already decided to snorkel the azure waters, park yourself at the live music beach hut with premium brands or enjoy the unending BAR-B-QUE.

Afterwards, stop by the Bahamian post office ashore to let ’em know what they’re missin’ Mon, back at the office!

Back aboard for formal night and the table’s favorite, the chocolate souffle. The night’s action started with Capt. Scott’s welcoming champagne toast, the terrific Noordam dancers’ show and finished with a win at Movie Music Trivia at the Piano Bar. I’ve already done enough to feel I’ve been aboard for a week…
