Cruise Diary: Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Once we arrived at port in Rome, a shuttle took us out of the harbor gates. From there we took a ten minute walk to the railway station. You can buy a return ticket which includes five zones of public transportation in Rome. The train ride takes no more than an hour. We decided to visit St. Peter’s Square and St. Peter’s Basilica, a first time experience for Yvon and myself. It was beautiful!

Cornelis “Cees” Kloppenburg and his wife Yvon recently sailed on board Ryndam and blogged about their experience in a series of posts. Enjoy!
