Celebrated Centenarians Sail on Eurodam
Mr. and Mrs. Bronson from Illinois boarded the Eastern Caribbean cruise on board the Eurodam last November 6 in Fort Lauderdale. They seemed like the ordinary 80 plus year-old cruisers but there was nothing ordinary about this couple. In their lifetime, they have seen two World Wars, several President changes and the century’s current events have not gone past them without them noticing it. They were the oldest existing cruisers on this voyage and were celebrating their 100 plus years birthdays during this cruise.
Mr. Winthrop Bronson was born on Nov. 27, 1908, making him 102 years-old. Mrs. Mary Bronson was born on Nov. 28, 1905, making her 105 years-old.
To honor them, the ship’s management team decided to do the following:
*Invitation to the VIP party hosted by the Captain and Hotel Manager
*Invitation to the Navigational Bridge hosted by the Captain
*Invitation to the Mariner’s Reception and presented with a cake during brunch at the Captain’s Table
*A public address announcement of their birthday on the last sea day of the cruise
* An “Art of Cruising” book was given as a present of their birthday cruise
The Bronson’s were traveling with their children, Mr. and Mrs. Geier, who were very grateful for the honor and recognition bestowed on their parents. Mrs. Geier mentioned to Hotel Manager Stan Kuppens that her parents plan to cruise again on Holland America Line.
Annabel Sualog is Eurodam’s guest relations manager.
Congratulations to the Bronsons!
Congratulations and all the best!
