Canaletto is available at dinner for a nominal charge. Reservations are recommended but not required.
Just don’t like their location at the entrance of the buffet, people walking by in their swim suits and towels. Holland needs to rethink their location. Since Club Orange is not successful why not move it there?
I agree with Marie re position. On the lovely Prinsendam, it was at the back. Much more private with fabulous views. Love the menu!
I am diabetic and we are going on cruise to Mediterranean. We have a dinner at Canaletto as part of package. What dishes are diabetic friendly at the Canaletto?
I certainly agree that the location, in front of the buffet, is not acceptable for a restaurant of this quality. The food is awesome but because of the location we normally just pass it up. I have previously passed this on to HAL.
We are so glad to see that Canaletto has added new menu items. We have always enjoyed it on previous sailings but began to get tired of the same items. We will be sailing again in July and will look forward to enjoying some of the new items.
I usually go there a couple of times during a cruise. I’m a 4 star Mariner. It’s nice to be pampered. I was VERY disappointed in both the service and the quality of the food recently on the Volendam. The spaghetti bolonaise was outstanding, but the other foods were inferior. The crust of the cannoli was so thick it was like a tough pizza crust.
I was also disappointed to see that extra touches like the complementary antipasti have been eliminated.
I hope the quality of the food returns to what I enjoyed in the past.
I wish chicken parmesan was on the regular menu. I think it’s a very popular meal and should be available anytime.
Just returned from the San Diego to Vancouver cruise. Pasta dishes were outstanding!! Salads, selection of vegetables, breads (especially herb breads) were wonderful.
Any vegetarian menu ? We love handmade pasta/gnocchi/ravioli. Are there any or only fixed meat dish?
Just returned from Alaska on the Eurodam. We had dinner one night at the Canaletto and it was one of our favorite meals. I searched each night hoping to find the same bread served in the Lido Market that we had at the Canaletto, but alas it was not there. The chicken parmigiano was delish. However, we did not enjoy our meal at The Pinnacle Grill at all.
Just returned from a trip on the Eurodam. In the Lido Market one day they served cooked purple cabbage. It was divine! I would love to have the recipe.
