Book a Cruise and Receive Two Free Journeys Ashore at AFAR’s Favorite Ports

Holland America Line is sweetening the deal for travelers who book select 2016 and 2017 cruises by Feb. 29, 2016. Guests who call at AFAR’s favorite ports in Asia, Australia/New Zealand and South America receive two free Journeys Ashore.

Holland America Line is collaborating with experiential travel expert AFAR Media to help cruisers create more personalized experiences and enhance cultural connections with the worldwide ports, cities and countries visited on each itinerary. AFAR selected its top ports in these regions and is rewarding guests who cruise there with two free tours.

Guests who cruise on ms Noordam or ms Maasdam in Australia and New Zealand on select departures between September 2016 and March 2017 can choose two free Journeys Ashore from select shore excursion offerings when the itinerary visits Melbourne, Australia; or Auckland, Picton or Wellington, New Zealand.

‘View & Verandah’ Promotion Adds Onboard Spending Credit
In addition to the two free Journeys Ashore, Holland America Line is now including an onboard spending credit in the “View and Verandah” promotion. Guests who book select voyages by Feb. 29 are now entitled to receive onboard spending money up to $500 per stateroom. That means guests can save up to $1,500, plus the up to $500 onboard spending money, plus free stateroom upgrades valued at up to $1,000!

Depending on the length of the cruise, guests will receive per stateroom up to $300 on cruises that are seven to nine days, up to $400 on 10- to 14-day cruises, and up to $500 on cruises 15 days or longer.

In addition to the onboard credit, as part of the promotion, depending on departure and ship, guests who book an inside stateroom will be upgraded to an outside stateroom and those booking an ocean-view stateroom will get upgraded to a verandah, representing a value of up to $300 per stateroom.

Select Collectors’ Voyages also are eligible for up to 25 percent off — a savings of up to $3,198 per stateroom — under the View and Verandah promotion. Collectors’ Voyages combine back-to-back cruises to form a non-repeating longer itinerary that provides a more in-depth exploration of a region.

Guests who reserve select Journeys Ashore prior to cruising can take advantage of up to 10 percent savings if booked by March 15, 2016. This date is extended beyond the View and Verandah deadline. More than 1,500 tours will receive the savings.

We are booked on two cruises. The Sept 30 Tales of the Pacific out of San Diego and the One week pre Christmas Cruise to the Mexican Riviera leaving Dec 17. Do these promotions apply to me? I am booked through our travel agent Bonnie Sibley at Cruise Holidays in Redland CA.
