Bering Sea Crab Fisherman’s Tour in Ketchikan, Alaska
This morning we boarded the Aleutian Ballad (one of the fishing vessels featured on the TV show, Deadliest Catch) for the Bering Sea Crab Fisherman’s Tour in Ketchikan, Alaska. Our captain, David Lethin and his crew Terry, Dan and Corey, provided an educational experience and unforgettable shore excursion.
After we were introduced to the crew and their family members, we learned about commercial crabbing and fishing life on the high seas, the dangers of working in this industry and the wonders living in the waters below us. All of the crew shared great stories of true survival, while demonstrating how they catch various types of crab. This shore excursion was so popular it was sold-out prior to our cruise. Lucky for us, there were a few cancellations. My advice? Book this tour early!
