Amsterdam Crew Designs Special Grand Voyage Logo

Here are photos of crew members from the deck department preparing the Amsterdam for her Grand Asia and Australia Voyage. Bosun Jermias created the logo. First he designed it on paper, then cut out the paper and placed it on the bow. Next, crew members placed the outline on the bow and painted it. The entire procedure took a total of two days. It was completed on September 24, as the Amsterdam departed Seattle on the Grand Voyage.

The following sailors helped with the art outline and painting: Sailor AB’s Jamaluddin, Handriyo, Guntur, Tofik, and Yulianto; Sailor OS’s Affan and Anwar, and Deck Storekeeper Lukman.

Julie Berndsen is Amsterdam’s human resources manager.

This is a great idea !! Any chance to do this on the other Grand Voyages? Very good PR for the line and the voyage ! Instantly giving people the information of the interesting voyage this ship is on, as well as firing their own interest and dreams of “maybe one day”. Would have been great on our last GV ” South America- Antarctica- Amazon” !
