Seattle, WA, June 1, 2009 – Holland America Line has presented four awards to recognize leading national sales performers for outstanding sales in 2008.
“We are pleased to honor our top recipients and are proud to have such talented sales team members who are dedicated to the success of our travel partners,” said Richard D. Meadows, CTC, executive vice president, marketing, sales and guest programs.
Business Development Team of the Year award winners for both the Voyage Cruises and Overall categories are Shanna Newell, business development representative, Barbara Farenwald, business development manager and Becky Loarie, business development representative.
Other Business Development Team of the Year award winners for 2008 include Robin Pelland, business development manager and Alicia Hogenson, business development representative for the Caribbean/ North American Product. Winners of the Business Development Team of the Year for Alaska Cruise Tours are Bess Guvanie, business development manager and Wilma Stubbs, business development representative.
Holland America Line employs one of the cruise industry’s most extensive sales forces with dedicated sales representatives in field sales, national accounts, charter and incentives, promotions, groups and sales management and sales support. The U.S. and Canadian Field Sales team for the premium line is structured with 43 two-person business development teams, made up of a field-based business development manager and a Seattle-based business development representative, who provide customized service for travel sellers.
