Holland America Line Names Sally Andrews Vice President, Public Relations

Seattle, WA, May 28, 2009 – Holland America Line announces Sally Andrews as vice president, public relations, effective immediately. Andrews will report to Richard D. Meadows, CTC, executive vice president, marketing, sales and guest programs.

“Sally’s leadership skills and extensive background in communications and business management make her a top choice to oversee our important public relations strategies,” said Meadows. “I look forward to working together with her as she leads our efforts.”

In her new role, Andrews will lead the Holland America Line efforts in media/industry relations, special events, ship inaugurals, corporate giving and communications, including speechwriting, presentations, social media and employee communications.

With more than 20 years experience in varied communications disciplines, Andrews joined Holland America Line in March 2004 as director, marketing communications, and later headed up the philanthropic and community relations initiatives at the company. Previously, she held senior management positions at Safeco Insurance and U S WEST/Qwest, as well as Hunt Marketing Group and Manus Marketing, where she led teams supporting Holland America Line’s marketing efforts for more than 10 years. Andrews has an extensive background in online media and marketing.

Andrews is a graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in speech communications.
