Seattle, Wash., May 10, 2013 — Holland America Line has appointed Anne Etter to the position of vice president, risk advisory and assurance services. She will report to Stein Kruse, president and chief executive officer.
In addition to her responsibilities for non-maritime audits, Etter also will liaise with parent company Carnival Corporation & plc on health, environmental, safety and security audits. Holland America Line directors David Niess and Richard Firth will report to her.
“With more than 25 years of audit, treasury and accounting experience, Anne brings to our team great financial and operational oversight skills, along with innate business acumen,” said Kruse. “I look forward to her contributions to this important aspect of managing our business.”
Prior to joining Holland America Line, Etter served as director of internal audit at Puget Sound Energy and Dendreon Corporation. Before that she directed the audit function at World Vision, a humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide. Etter began her career with Alaska Airlines where she worked in treasury operations and was a manager in the internal audit department.
Etter is a certified public accountant, certified internal auditor, certified quality auditor, and a certified compliance and ethics professional. She is a board member of the Puget Sound Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and also sits on the advisory board of the Seattle University Center for Business Ethics.
Etter is a Central Washington University graduate with a double degree in accounting and business administration - finance.
