When Chef Chris was 24 years old he was a student at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and working at Manhattan's four-star Le Cirque restaurant. During this time he began to feel his energy fade and he lost 25 pounds in a very short period of time. To the outside world he was the picture of health but inside, with a blood glucose level of 300, he was in grave danger. He was diagnosed with Type I diabetes and he knew he had to make some serious lifestyle choices.
Like so many others what it came down to was achieving a healthy lifestyle. Chris never looked back and then began his career as a motivator and smart eating expert under the title of The Diabetic Chef.
In his workshops and cooking classes, Chris educates people on how to prepare healthy meals that are full of flavor. Chris is committed to sharing his professional experience as a chef and his personal experiences as a son, brother, husband and father with all people who have a need or desire to eat healthy.
Chris is a dynamic motivational speaker and healthy living guru.
