This moderate & informative hike consists of a very unique Hand Tram crossing and walk over the Winner Creek Gorge.Your naturalist guide will point out and discuss the flora and fauna of North America's northern-most temperate rainforest. When blueberry season is in full swing the trail is blooming with scrumptious delights which are sure to please. We will search out and discuss the flora, fauna, geology, animal tracks and life zones of the habitat. With our naturalists leading the way you will have the opportunity to nibble on edible leaves, flowers and berries. Identify bird songs and animal behaviors and enjoy stories about Alaskan history.
Wear sturdy footwear and appropriate hiking clothing including rain gear. Bring a camera. Minimum age is 7 years.
